A Mexican in Paris
Being an artist, Paris has always been one of my top ten cities to experience before I die. When I would day dream of France I would imagine myself riding thru the Parisian cobblestone streets on a bike that had a basket filled with warm baguettes and fresh tulips, while la vie en rose plays from a gypsie's accordion. I knew that one day I would plan the trip of my bohemian dreams, but I never thought in a million years it would have been this week. For the last 2 and a half months I have been solely focused on work; building the Dorianrocksfit brand, training clients, prepping for competition, and performing with @theloveshownyc. There was zero time for vacation, especially when I am so close to launching my fitness sitedoriancervantes.com. I had not had a day off in 2 months , and I also felt like I didn't deserve one. I could feel myself slowly starting to burn out.
So when the universe provided an opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful places on the planet i absolutely %1000 had to take it. Before I could talk myself out of going i bought the ticket. This was one of the most extreme spontaneous decisions I have ever made in my life, it was also one if the best!
My Parisian experience was everything I had ever imagined it to be , full of art, beauty, awe inspiring architecture, mouth watering delicacies, and the loveliest most welcoming people. (Don't get caught up in the single story of Parisian people, they are mad cool and super nice ,side note I totally lost my phone first night and it was returned next day?! WTF..I KNOW! thanks Herv'e )It was amazing! The permanent smile on my face in the picture says it all. My face literally hurt because I could not stop smiling. This was not only one of the best trips I've ever had, but I am coming back to Nyc inspired, re-energized, and recentered. I am coming back feeling like myself but only better. I'm not saying to drop everything and leave the country right this second to take your dream vacation..... but what if you did?
